Get to know Access Matting Ltd
We’ve manufactured, constructed and built on generations of knowledge to create a product that’s more soundly engineered and polished — a stronger, better, longer lasting mat.
The Access Matting way
We do things the right way. That’s why we demand the best from our team. Built on solid roots and hard work, we expect our product to be the number one mat in the field.
We take pride in a clean, efficient workspace so we can give excellent service to our loyal clients.
Built in Leduc, working across Alberta
Our yard is in Leduc, just south of Edmonton, which puts us within easy reach of the province’s oil and gas fields, pipeline corridors and utility projects. We manufacture and sell wood mats for crews working everywhere from northern muskeg to southern farmland.
Projects don’t always run on a schedule, so we offer 24 hour service. Need mats? Call 780-980-1166.
How we build
Building a better mat comes down to the details. Here’s what goes into every one.
- 01
The best materials
Every mat starts with the highest quality lumber and bolts we can source.
- 02
Solid core construction
Three plies of green Douglas fir around a solid core, held together by a 181 carriage bolt pattern.
- 03
Minimal countersinks
Shallower, smaller-diameter countersinks leave more wood in every mat. More wood means stronger mats.
- 04
Tested, every time
Torque and build specs are tested consistently, so every mat meets the same standard.
Who we work with
Our mats support crews across a wide range of industries. No order is too large or too small, and we offer custom mat design when a standard mat won’t do.
- Oil and gas
- Pipeline construction
- Power line and utility work
- Forestry
- General construction
- Environmental and reclamation work
- Camps, staging yards and events
What we stand for
- Do it rightWe don’t cut corners on materials or build quality. A mat is only as good as the details that go into it.
- Keep it cleanA clean, efficient, mud-free yard means fast, safe loading and less time waiting on our end.
- Be thereWork in the field doesn’t keep office hours, so we offer 24 hour service.
- Build for the long haulMats that last longer give you more value from every one you buy.
